©️ Copyright Claim Release

Received a copyright claim for using my music on YouTube?

No worries — you’re in the right place, and I’m here to help you resolve it. First off, thank you for choosing my music for your YouTube content! I truly support creators and am happy for you to use my tracks in monetized videos. You can keep 100% of the revenue generated from your content, as long as you’ve followed the usage policy.

Let’s walk through how to clear up that claim.

Why did I get a copyright claim?

While I’m happy to let content creators use my music, there’s just one simple thing I’ve always asked in return:

Include the full song title and a link to the original video on TheFatRat’s YouTube channel. In other words — a proper credit. In exchange, you get to fully monetize your video, and it stays claim-free at all times.

So if you’ve received a copyright claim, it’s likely you just forgot to add the credit.

No worries — it happens!

Important: Please read and follow the steps below carefully to get the claim released.

How do I fix this?

  • First, make sure you mention the full song title/-s in your video description including all artist’s names. Like for example: TheFatRat & Anjulie - Fly Away.

  • When you use more than one song, make sure to credit each song individually.

  • Dispute the claim and mention in the note section that you added a proper credit.

  • The claim will be released within 72 hours if you credited properly.

But I already credited you and still received a claim

There are a few potential causes for this:

  • A song you chose was not free for usage. Make sure it's a free to use song

by checking out https://www.thefatrat.com/downloads All of the songs

listed here are free to use and free to download. Everything else is not.

  • A Copyright claim was added for a different reason, not because of my

    music.

  • You misspelled my name, track title or inserted a wrong link to the video.

Contact us if you still have issues

• After you fixed the possible issues or none of the above applies to you, you can contact us via copyright@thefatrat.com

• If the claim does not disappear after you've filled the form within 72 hours, please, get in touch with via copyright@thefatrat.com and we'll get it fixed ASAP.
